(Northern New England)- A storm system is headed to northern New England this weekend that could produce a significant amount of ice. Most of the state of Maine along with  Carroll and Coos counties in New Hampshire are under a winter storm watch.

Heavy precipitation is expected on Saturday night through Sunday morning with temperatures below freezing. Up to a half inch of ice could stretch from Conway,N.H. and head eastward across Maine. Utilities are preparing for the possibility of outages.
