New Hampshire Fire Marshall Bill Degnan says a father and daughter died of the injuries they suffered in the incident. Their names have not been released and autopsies are being conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

32 other spectators were treated for injuries, some serious. Degnan did not know how many of those injured were still hospitalized

There were 100 people in the tent as the Walker Brothers International Circus began the first of two scheduled shows. Degnan says the National Weather Service had issued a severe storm warning about 20 minutes before the collapse occurred at 5:46 Monday evening. Meteorologists will be at the scene today to assess what type of wind event did occur.

The storm packed winds of 60 miles per hour and there was golf-ball sized hail and heavy lightning activity.
