The Boston Red Sox are headed back to the World Series for the first time since 2013. Baseballs best team all season long...the 108 win Sox systematically dismantled the current World Champion Houston Astros last week.

Rick Porcello be the reason behind their post season fortune?

According to 10 News Boston, Porcello adopted the pup just a few days before the playoffs. And despite a hiccup in Game 1 of the ALCS, the Red Sox won four games back-to-back to advance to the World Series.

Porcello, a proud dog dad, adopted Bronco from Fenway Park head groundskeeper Dave Mellor. Bronco's biological father is Drago, Mellor's 7-year-old service dog.

And while no one affiliated with the Red Sox organization has said anything about Bronco being the team's good luck charm, I can't help but wonder if things would be going as well if Porcello had decided not to adopt him.

That's just my theory. At least as long as the team keep winning. GO SOX!
