Jake Owen Trades the Beach for a Ballad [LISTEN]

The new Jake Owen cd "What We Ain't Got" came in the mail today and it is awesome! Be prepared, this one isn't about the sand or the sun. It is a heartfelt song about regret and reflection where Jake sings with only piano accompaniment. It kind of reminds me of a Sarah McLachlan song, very sparse but also very powerful. Jake is an extremely talented vocalist and this song shows that range. It sounds like another big 'ol Jake Owen hit to me. And no worries, Jake will be back on the beach soon!
