Jennifer Nettles Has a New Record Deal and New Music

Jennifer Nettles is one busy lady. She just signed a new contract with a major record label which means we can expect new music very soon and she's currently filming a TV movie.

Big Machine Records announced last week that Jennifer has signed on as the newest member of their family. She's expected to release a brand-new single in October and a brand-new album will follow early next year.

 “I am so thrilled and honored to join the Big Machine family,” said Nettles. “They are truly the best in the business. I loved working with Scott [Borchetta] years ago, in the beginning of my career, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to get to work with him again! I’m so happy that day has arrived and I look forward to our exciting new adventures to come.”

On top of new music, Nettles is currently filming an NBC TV moive, 'Coat of Many Colors.' The movie, based on the life of Dolly Parton is expected to air in December. Jennifer plays the role of Dolly Parton's mother.
