Here we go again, overreacting and letting stupid people ruin all the fun.

Just following up to let you know that the Keene Pumpkin Festival is looking less and less likely to be held this year due to the actions of those who were in a different part of the town and didn't even attend the festival. Yeah, that makes sense.

Per the Associated Press, a "City Council committee has once again rejected a permit request this year for the Keene Pumpkin Festival, a fall tradition overshadowed by nearby violent disturbances last year."

The last chance for the event to move forward appears to be April 2nd, when the full Keene City Council is scheduled to vote on the matter. At the point it appears unlikely that they would go against the committee recommendation.

I've already shared my feelings about this, but just wanted to follow up and let you know that the future of the Keene Pumpkin Festival appears dim. Get the details on the story at UnionLeader.com.
