I was so sad to hear the news that the Stephen Hillenburg, creator of Spongebob Squarepants, passed away at the age of 57. He died from complications of ALS and was only diagnosed with the disease in March of last year.

The dynamic and loveable characters he brought to life in Spongebob will live on forever. I know I speak for many when I say the show was a huge part of my childhood. It is rare that a children's show is equally as enjoyable to watch as an adult but Spongebob is the exception to the rule!

To honor the life of Stephen Hillenburg, here are my all time favorite episodes of Spongebob Squarepants:

When Spongebob explains to Plankton what FUN stands for through song:

The one where Spongebob has foul breath but doesn't realize it and thinks he's ugly.

The one that Spongebob sings "Sweet Victory"

The one that Spongebob fails his boating his exam

And finally, the Leif Erickson Day episode:

What is your all time favorite Spongebob Squarepants episode?
