Back in March L.L Bean shared a message with their valued customers on their Facebook page that said they are trying their best navigate through these uncertain times but of course, this is uncharted territory. They value the health of their employees and customers far too much to risk staying open so they came to the difficult decision to close the store until further notice. This wasn't an easy decision to make. This was the first time in the store's history that they were closed for more than 24 hours.

Boston.com states that the L.L Bean warehouse did remain open during the pandemic so customers continued to place orders online or over the phone.

As of Monday they have reopened their hunting and fishing store, and bike, boat and ski store. The site goes on to explain that per Governor Mills' second phase, Maine businesses are allowed to deny customer's service or entry if they are not wearing a mask. There also are strict rules in regards to store capacity.
