Leaven In Somersworth Closes After Being Open For Three Years

According to Fosters.com Somersworth's first farm to table gastropub is closing this October but not due to lack of business. If anything it is quite the opposite!

Leaven has grown more than the three Somersworth natives who dreamed it up ever anticipated it would.

Over it's three year span Leaven has really flourished into a vibrant hub where people who care about where their food comes from can congregate and feel welcome.

The owners of Leaven issued an open letter to the public ensuring us that they are working on a new business model and plan to keep their 44 Market St. location.

Leaven was certainly loved in our community and I am sad I didn't get a chance to experience it and all of its glory. However I am excited for what is to come!
