Local Businesses Encouraging Reading

The Cardi Brothers, Ron and Pete, normally read to schools during reading weeks. Cardi's Social Media Specialist Sara Hunt tells us that the brothers decided to make a few adjustments so they could continue that effort.  They decided to read books online and make it available for the kids at home.  Their first book was a Dr. Seuss classic....Cat In The Hat!

Fisher Cats in Manchester are also taking place in a reading challenge. Their initiative began back in 2007 according to Manchesterinklink.com.   Their contest is sponsored by Eversource and is being extended until April 13th.  They are challenging kids to read five books outside of the classroom curriculum.  There is also a prize at the end for the schools that have the most participation with a $5000 award to be shared.  If you're interested in signing up, you can do that here!
