Maine and NH Could Be Saying Bye Bye to Claire's Boutiques Soon

At this point, we are not surprised to hear about retail store closings. It seems that we are headed in a direction that malls will eventually be obsolete and online shopping will be our sole option.

However, this particular store I have a history with. I have been going to Claire's Boutique since I was in diapers. My mom brought me the Claire's at the Searstown Mall in Leominster MA to get my ears pierced when I was six months old. Since then, I have been an avid Claire's shopper; Everything from lip gloss that tastes like vanilla cupcakes to jewelry for my prom!

So when I heard that Claire's is in 2 Billion dollars of debt and will probably have to file for bankruptcy, of course, my initial reaction was, "NO! NOT CLAIRE'S!"

According to Bloomberg, Claire's was once the most profitable chain in the business and now is preparing to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy. That is the same kind of bankruptcy Toys R Us filed back in 2017.
