( Laconia, N.H. ) - An investigation is underway in Laconia after a man reported that he was attacked by a person with a bat and robbed today.

The attack took place in the area of Winter Street. The victim, who’s head was bleeding, told police he was hit with a bat by an unknown person, who stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Still no verdict in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial. The jury was dismissed  this afternoon until Monday morning , when they’ll return to deliberations.

New Hampshire State Police say an unannounced inspection of commercial vehicles has resulted in over 300 violations, 61 of which placed drivers or vehicles out of service.  Police say the out-of-service violations ranged from drivers possessing alcohol to failure to comply with hours of service regulations.

A hiker is sore, but OK today after a 60-foot fall down Mount Ascutney in Vermont. 63 year old Jan Lambert of Charlestown, New Hampshire slipped on ice near the edge of a waterfall and fell.  She spent the night in the hospital and had 12 staples in the back of her head, along with some facial cuts and bruises.

And sources say Hillary Clinton will announce her 2016 Presidential campaign on Sunday.
