Amber's Place Combats Addiction in Manchester

Kris Blevens lost her daughter Amber to addiction in 2014.  Since then she and a team of others have done something positive to turn others' lives around.

Amber's Place is Manchester newest addiction recovery center.  It's Grand Opening took place today with the likes of Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas and Governor Maggie Hassan on hand for the event.

Hassan was quick to say that New Hampshire has "...strong state revenues right now.... (they're) outpacing projections by at least $60 million in this fiscal year."

However, WMUR reports that Amber's Place faces major fiscal issues with only enough money to stay open for the next six to eight weeks.

If you or someone you know is looking for help or to donate funds, you can reach Amber's Place at 140 Central St. Manchester NH 03103, on the web HERE, or by phone at 603-935-7524.
