Seriously, we should be celebrating maple syrup every day of the year-- but it's comforting to know New Hampshire has set aside an entire month (well, four weekends to be more precise) to celebrate this sweet and sticky treat. Maple Syrup Month gets underway this weekend with tours, demonstrations, sugar on snow tastings, and really all things maple related at farms and sugar houses throughout the state.

Find out more about opening weekend of Maple Month, as well as Maple Weekend (which is next week), at the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association's site. You'll find plenty of options in every area of the state to bring the kids and family. Remember to always ask for real syrup when you go out for breakfast-- or when you have them at home, like I did on Pancake Day last week!
