Massive Ice Jam Floods Basements And Closes New Hampshire Roads [Video]
According to WMUR News 9, A significant ice jam has caused basement flooding around the Israel River. In Jefferson, part of Rt 115A was closed due to the situation, and officials are telling motorists to seek alternative routes. In the video, you can see the ice build up to the point it almost reached bridge level.
The massive warm-up and cool down, with temps falling back into the teens tonight continue to make the winter of 2017- 2018 one to remember. From the deep freeze of early January, to huge snow in the weeks later, and more recently, record temperatures, New Hampshire weather forecasters certainly continue to have their work cut out for them. According to the long range forecast, temps are supposed to stabilize over the next few weeks.
