HOOKSETT, NH -  Authorities say a 13-year old Hooksett girl has been found safe and sound in Manchester. Police had issued an alert Wednesday for Amber Grenier, who had not been seen since Saturday when she was dropped off at the Mall of NH in Manchester. She phoned her father Sunday to say she was with a friend’s family. Amber was located in Manchester last evening and returned to her home.

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire's House has given preliminary approval to legalizing up to 1 ounce of marijuana for recreational use for anyone age 21 and older. The bill proposes taxing the drug when it is sold at retail at a rate of $30 per ounce and letting people grow up to six marijuana plants in a controlled environment.

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Heroin abuse has increased in Maine, with 28 people in the state dying from an overdose in 2012. Attorney General Janet Mills says the increase is partly due to regulations restricting prescriptions for oxycodone and requiring tamper-resistant packaging for prescription opioids.

BOSTON (AP) - A federal judge has set a June trial for three friends of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. They've been charged with hindering the investigation into the April 15 attack. The judge scheduled the trial for June 23.

CONCORD, NH - Best Buddies has opened it's NH office. After several years of planning and fund-raising, the office opened this month on Franklin Street in Concord. Best Buddies is nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Tom Brady is among the supporters of Best Buddies.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Tom Brady has taken time off from practice before the New England Patriots play the AFC championship game against the Denver Broncos. Backup quarterback Ryan Mallett says Brady missed the full practice yesterday. But Mallett says but he's not worried about the star quarterbacks' availability for Sunday's game in Denver.

BOSTON (AP) - Jared Sullinger scored 25 points and grabbed a career-best 20 rebounds, Avery Bradley had 20 points and the Boston Celtics held on to snap a nine-game losing streak with an 88-83 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Jeff Green scored 13 points and Kris Humphries 12 as the Celtics nearly blew an 18-point, second-half lead.
