More Reason to Support Craft Brewers at AMERICA ON TAP

Big news in the beer brewing world, with the proposed merger of  #1 Anneheiser Busch- InBev and SABMiller the number 2 for a value of 275 BILLION.  This will be a merger of Budweiser product and SABMiller's  Miller, Grolsch, Peroni and Pilsner Urquell beers.  It would quench the thirst of about a third of the worlds beer drinkers.

According to REUTERS, SABMiller has been controlling the market in Africa where Budweiser products have limited exposure and would also give Bud a boost in Asia and Latin America.

At this point it is a proposed.marriage.  Antitrust concerns may initially hinder the merger.

In case you wondered Heinekin, which is family owned is #3 on the brewing top 10.  They have had offers to buy them but have yet to succumb to the mega-dollars.
