Clinton says divisions can be healed
Hillary Clinton kicked off her campaign as the official Democratic presidential nominee by referring to the difficult political and other divisions in the United States and insisting that "progress is possible" if she's elected. Fresh from her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, Clinton heads out on a bus tour through two Rust Belt battlegrounds, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Rochester woman sentenced 
A 34-year-old New Hampshire woman will serve six to 12 years in prison, with the possible suspension of three years for good behavior, after pleading guilty to providing a man with the heroin that killed him. Jennifer Harriman of Rochester admitted providing the heroin on which Jason Danner overdosed in June of 2014.
