Debate showdown tonight
Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will hold their first debate in more than a month. Tonight's showdown will take place in Brooklyn, ahead of New York's primary on Tuesday. On the Republican side, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich will each speak at a state GOP gala.

Teacher fired 
Officials at Phillips Exeter Academy say a second teacher has been fired after admitting to having sexual encounters with a student more than two decades ago. In a letter to the Exeter school community, officials say Steve Lewis has also been barred from the campus and any school events. Authorities have told the school there are no investigations involving current faculty members.
