You'll definitely want to make sure you have an extra blanket on the bed tonight. It is going to be bitterly cold with some areas set to experience dangerous wind chills. 

Meteorologist Rob Carolan tells us there is a 'Wind Chill Warning' in effect for Coos, Grafton, Carroll, Sullivan and Cheshire Counties from 5pm this evening to 10am Thursday morning. There is also a 'Wind Chill Advisory' in effect for the remainder of the state from 5pm this evening until 10am Thursday.

12 dead at controversial French weekly
France has reinforced security at houses of worship, stores, media offices and transportation after what the government calls a terrorist attack that killed 12 people at the offices of a French satirical newspaper. The publication has previously drawn condemnation from Muslims for publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. France has also raised its alert to the highest level.

Fairall to miss rest of season
A U.S. ski jumper from Andover, New Hampshire, will miss the rest of this season after undergoing back surgery following a fall. Nick Fairall was hurt after landing a jump in Austria. A release posted this week on the USA Ski Jumping website says the 25-year-old Fairall had emergency surgery to stabilize the injuries.

Power supporters tout economic impact
Maine wind power supporters are touting the industry's economic impact ahead of the legislative session. A report by the Maine Center for Business & Economic Research at the University of Southern Maine says the industry will produce 4,200 jobs in 2015 and that the industry is poised to double over the next four years to 1,300 megawatts of power output.
