Meteorologist Rob Carolan says the snow will be falling all day, heavy at times, high 16...periods of snow in the North Country. Heaviest south of the White Mountains. Check the complete forecast.

A storm packing blizzard conditions failed to live up to expectations in some areas of the Northeast but is still packing a punch with high winds and heavy snow. A blizzard warning was lifted for New York City.

Strong storm rolls into, shuts down New Hampshire
A powerful coastal snowstorm has headed into New Hampshire amid a state of emergency that shut down government. The storm is expected to bring anywhere from 6 inches of snow in the North Country to 2 feet along the coast.

Scores of closings in NH
Numerous schools, day care facilities, and other programs are closed today due to the storm. Utilities have moved crews into place and the Department of Transportation sent out many of its 700 trucks. Snow is expected to fall at a rate of between 1 and 3 inches per hour and winds could hit 60 mph. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport canceled flights.
