We had lots of laughs this week during The Morning Waking Crew with Christmas Carols and holiday movies titles gone awry!

When Roy was younger, he thought Nat King Cole's 'The Christmas Song' had the lyrics 'folks dressed up in pantyhose!' Instead of 'folks dressed up like Eskimos!'

And who among us didn't at one point or another sing 'Later on, we'll perspire, as we dream by the fire!' (Instead of 'conspire!')

Holiday in Handcuffs

At first glance, by title alone, I wouldn't think this is an ABC Family movie. But, apparently, this movie is fairly well-known by our listeners!

Brennan says the program stopped attacks and saved lives, though he acknowledges that agency officers went beyond the techniques that had been authorized. Sen. Dianne Feinstein rejects Brennan's arguments, but says it's "all-important" that "CIA leadership is prepared to prevent this from ever happening again."

Small earthquake causes bang, no damage in Exeter
Other than hearing a loud bang, residents in and around Exeter, haven't reported any damage from a small earthquake recorded in the area. The Weston Observatory at Boston College said the 1.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 2:53 a.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.

Out-of-staters shoulder Maine turnpike tolls
Maine Turnpike officials say nearly two-thirds of all the toll revenue collected on the highway this year is coming from motorists who don't live the state. Reports show an increase from two years ago, when an estimated 54 percent of the $105 million in tolls came from out-of-state drivers. The turnpike expects to collect $125 million in toll revenue this year, with 66 percent paid by non-Mainers.
