Suspected Paris mastermind named
A Belgian is being fingered today as the suspected mastermind of the Paris attacks. A French official says the man is believed linked to thwarted attacks on a Paris-bound high-speed train and Paris area church. Seven people are in custody in Belgium suspected of links to the attacks and an international arrest warrant has been issued for a Belgian-born Frenchman. Meanwhile, France and Belgium are urging more cooperation in intelligence sharing in the wake of the Paris attacks. The top French official in charge of European affairs, Harlem Desir, says efforts are needed against arms trafficking and terror financing as well as strengthening border security. France's prime minister says there have been more than 150 overnight raids. The British government says it is doubling spending on aviation security and is recruiting more agents.

Opening statements set for today in Chism case
Opening statements are expected today in the trial of a teenager accused of killing Danvers High School math teacher Colleen Ritzer in 2013. Philip Chism was 14 at the time of Ritzer's murder but he's being tried as an adult in Salem.

Superior Court in Portland on Friday for a pre-trial conference
Officials at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport say employees are on heightened alert after the deadly attacks in Paris. The heightened security protocols are not expected to affect travelers. Governor Maggie Hassan says state police are working with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and local police department "to exercise extra vigilances in light of the heinous attacks."
