Nightclub shooting probe
Authorities are still trying to pin down possible motives in the Florida nightclub shootings. FBI Director James Comey says there's nothing so far to indicate the attack was directed from outside the U.S. The bureau and the White House say 29-year-old Omar Mateen, an American born Muslim, appears to be a "homegrown extremist" who professed loyalty to disparate and opposing radical groups.

Historic bridge in New Hampshire hit again by driver
A historic covered bridge in New Hampshire has been struck by a vehicle for the second time this year. Cornish police say the Dingleton Hill Covered Bridge was hit Monday morning. The driver hasn't come forward. The bridge had been damaged by a bus in February. Police said the bus was 19,000 pounds over the bridge's weight limit and more than three feet taller than its height limit. It reopened in April after repairs were made. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
