Massive LA fire closes 2 major freeways
Officials closed down portions of two major freeways in Los Angeles this morning because of a massive fire in downtown. The Los Angeles Fire Department says more than 250 firefighters are battling the blaze. The fire was burning a building planned to be a tall residential structure.

Gas prices drop once again
Gas prices continue to drop. The average price for a gallon of regular in New Hampshire is $2.76 this morning, 7 cents lower than last Monday. The Massachusetts average price is $2.80 a gallon. In Maine, it’s $2.81 and in Vermont, it’s $2.99. The national average price has dropped by a dime in the past week to $2.66 a gallon

Man killed, 2 hurt in crash in Maine
Investigators say speed and road conditions appear to have contributed to a fatal crash in Minot.State police say 19-year-old Marcus Bennett of Lewiston was traveling on Center Minot Hill Road Sunday morning when he lost control of his car and slid into the path of a car that was headed in the opposite direction. Bennett was pronounced dead at Maine Medical Center. Police say the driver of the other vehicle and a passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
