Supreme Court hears Facebook threat case
Is a threat on social media just free speech? That's the question before the Supreme Court as it hears arguments today in the case of a Pennsylvania man who was sentenced to nearly four years in prison. Anthony Elonis says he was just venting when he posted graphically violent rap lyrics on Facebook about killing his estranged wife, shooting up a kindergarten class and attacking an FBI agent. He was convicted and a federal appeals court upheld it.

Most customers have their power back
Most customers affected by the Thanksgiving eve snowstorm have their power back. As of 7:45 a.m. this morning, PSNH said they have about 66 customers still without electricity. That's down from well over 200,000 that lost power in the storm, which dumped heavy, wet snow, snapping trees. It's the fourth worst storm in the state in terms of power outages.

Maine's newly-elected state lawmakers will be sworn in this week. The Legislature will vote for the Speaker of the House and the Senate president Wednesday. Democrats remain in control of the House, but Republicans have taken the majority in the Senate. The real work won't begin until January when Governor Paul LePage introduces his proposed budget.
