More details of shooting rampage emerge
More details are emerging about the man and woman who killed 14 people Wednesday at a Southern California social service center. An intelligence official says Syed Farook had been in contact with known Islamic extremists on social media. Investigators are trying to determine whether the rampage was terrorism, a workplace grudge or some combination.

Legal jousting over Northern Pass Project continues
Eversource has asked a New Hampshire court to reject a forest group's lawsuit challenging the contentious Northern Pass transmission line project. The group claims the utility doesn't have permission to run the 192-mile line beneath land owned by the society.

Parole denied
A state parole board has denied parole for Weare man Shane Nickerson in the shaking death of a baby 20 years ago. Shane Nickerson is nearly halfway through his 21 year prison sentence in the death of Zachary McMillan. Nickerson could be up for a parole again next summer.
