MWC Daily: Fire Weather Watch in Effect for New Hampshire

Outdoor burning is not advised today, due to the Fire Weather Watch in effect. 

Meteorologist Rob Carolan says most of New Hampshire is under that Fire Weather Watch (exception: coastal Rockingham County). Please use extreme caution today.

2 gunmen dead in Texas
Police in Texas are still investigating whether a shooting in a Dallas suburb was related to a provocative contest for cartoon depictions of the Prophet Muhammad. Two gunmen were killed yesterday after opening fire on a security officer outside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland just as the contest was wrapping up. Authorities were searching the gunmen's vehicle for explosives as an extra precaution.

Motorcyclist killed in crash on city street
New Hampshire police say a motorcyclist has died after the bike crashed on a street in Concord. Police say 33-year-old Heath Wilkins of Concord was killed in the Sunday afternoon accident on Manchester Street. Police say no other vehicles were involved. Further investigation is underway.

At least 6 displaced in apartment fire in Laconia
At least six people have been displaced in a fire that damaged two apartment units in Laconia. Firefighters say the responded to the fire shortly after 9 p.m. last night. There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation.
