Glenn Frey, a gifted songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who co-founded the band 'Eagles,' and had a successful solo career as well has died.

The 'Eagles' had so much success through the decades. Founding member Glenn Frey passed away Monday due to complications of several medical problems. The band's musical roots were firmly planted in country music. They were 4-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year nominees and the 1994 tribute album, 'Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles' took home a CMA tropy for 'Album of the Year.'
The band's website has acknowledged the passing of their friend and band mate.

Search continues off the coast of Hawaii
There's been no luck so far in the search for 12 crew members missing after two Marine helicopters crashed off the coast of Hawaii. The Coast Guard says three life rafts that were aboard the helicopters have been recovered, and some of them were inflated. But there's no indication that anyone was aboard them. A civilian last Thursday night saw the aircraft flying and then saw a fireball. Hours after the reported crash, a military plane spotted debris off the coast of Oahu.
Cruz in NH
Ted Cruz continues his campaign in New Hampshire, with a bus tour today taking him to North Conway, Freedom, Sanbornville, Rochester and Center Barnstead. The Texas senator says he'd be the first true conservative since Barry Goldwater to top the GOP ticket but some supporters suggest he should broaden his appeal.
Maple Syrup meeting
Maple syrup producers in New Hampshire hold their annual meeting on the industry later this month in Manchester. Organizers of the forum say it will include meetings on the impact of climate change as well as efforts to get rid of insect pests.
