MWC Daily: Ice Cream Survey

We decided since today is the last day before a long weekend for many of us, that we would take an ice cream survey to get us ready for summertime!

We asked listeners for their favorite flavor, favorite topping and favorite place to get an ice cream. What we found out is that our listeners are passionate about their ice cream.

Arrest made in mansion murders
Police say they haven't ruled out the possibility that other people were involved in the slayings of a wealthy Washington family and their housekeeper, following the arrest of a man accused in the deaths. Members of a fugitive task force arrested Daron Dylon Wint last night, about a week after authorities said the family was killed and their mansion set on fire. So far, no other suspects have been identified.

Law enforcement gathering to honor fallen officers
The annual New Hampshire Law Enforcement Officers Memorial gathering is scheduled to take place today in Concord. Speakers at the ceremony include Gov. Maggie Hassan and Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeff Strelzin, who is expected to read the names of New Hampshire's 46 fallen police officers.

Portland attorneys OK request for referendum on water views
Portland, Maine city attorneys say a citizens group's proposal for a referendum to protect scenic waterfront views in the city is suitable for a citywide vote. Soul of Portland filed an affidavit with the city on Tuesday, calling for a referendum to protect views of Portland Harbor and Casco Bay and establish a Scenic Viewpoint Task Force. The group's effort is in response to developers' request to rezone the former Portland Co. complex for taller buildings.
