Shooting at FSU 
Students in Florida State University's Strozier Library are describing a chaotic scene. They say they heard gunshots, followed by students either barricading themselves in parts of the library or taking cover early this morning. University police say they killed a gunman after they told him to drop his weapon and he fired a shot at them.Authorities say three people were shot and wounded.

Arrest in bank robbery
Police say they've made an arrest in a Portsmouth bank robbery. Authorities say they took Joshua Tom Caprarella into custody without incident yesterday at the Piscataqua Savings Bank. Police say they received a hold-up alarm from the bank and learned that an unarmed man was demanding money. When police arrived, Caprarella was still in the bank.

Maine Officials hope to expand monitoring of domestic abuse abusers
State officials are hoping to expand the use of electronic monitoring systems for domestic violence abusers. The Maine State Board of Corrections is seeking proposals from counties interested in beginning electronic monitoring pilot programs in their areas. The state hopes to launch the six-month projects in one rural and one urban location beginning in January.
