MWC Daily: New Hampshire Women File Lawsuit over The Big Bang Theory’s ‘Soft Kitty’

Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty, Little Ball of Fur....If you're a fan of 'The Big Bang Theory,' you know the rest. Now, two New Hampshire women have filed suit against the show's producers over the copyright of 'Soft Kitty.'

The heirs to a New Hampshire teacher who wrote a poem about a 'soft kitty' say CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory' is violating their copyrights. Edith Newlin's daughters have sued CBS and other media-related companies over the copyright to a song the lawsuit says has repeatedly been used on the the comedy series.

'Affluenza' teen and mom found in Mexico
A mother and son missing for weeks from Texas have been nabbed in Mexico and handed over to Mexican immigration authorities for deportation. The son, Ethan Couch is serving probation after his lawyers invoked an "affluenza" defense in a drunken-driving wreck that killed four people.

Chicago officer faces arraignment on murder charges
A plea is expected in a Chicago courtroom today at the arraignment of a white police officer charged with murder in the shooting death of a black teenager. Veteran officer Jason Van Dyke faces six counts of first-degree murder and one of official misconduct in the 2014 shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, who was shot 16 times.

Missing Dover woman located
Jennifer Santos, who had been missing since December 23rd has been located. Authorities say the 28-year-old Dover woman contacted the Rochester Police Department Monday night. Investigators say she was unharmed and had not been a victim of a crime.
