Freddie Gray closing arguments
A jury in Baltimore is expected to hearing closing arguments today in the trial of a city police officer charged with the death of Freddie Gray. William Porter, who's charged with manslaughter, assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment, is the first of six officers to go on trial. Prosecutors say he's partially responsible for Gray sustaining a fatal spinal injury while he was being transported in a police wagon. Porter says he didn't call a medic because Gray didn't show signs of injury.

Eversource's biomass project receives deliveries
The state's largest utility says its biomass project in Portsmouth has received more than 151,000 deliveries of wood chips from local foresters to support 150 to 200 jobs as it gets ready to enter its 10th year of operation. When Eversource's Northern Wood Power unit was completed and became operational in 2006, it permanently replaced a 50-megawatt coal-burning boiler with a system that uses clean wood chips for fuel.

UNH students compete with others across country
University of New Hampshire marketing students are competing with students from across the country to develop a proposal that includes a social media campaign, teaching curriculum and a public pledge to help young people resist radicalization. They will compete against 25 other schools for a chance to present their plan to State Department officials in Washington, D.C.
