More revealed about suspect in British lawmaker killing
A U.S. civil rights group says a man arrested for allegedly killing a British lawmaker had links to an American white supremacist organization. The Southern Poverty Law Center says records show that Thomas Mair was a supporter of the National Alliance and that in 1999 he bought a manual from the group that included instructions on how to build a pistol. Lawmaker Jo Cox was shot and stabbed Thursday, after wrapping up a meeting with constituents in Birstall, in northern England.

Operation Granite Hammer
Gov. Maggie Hassan, a Democrat, has quickly signed legislation to spent $1.5 million on a police drug enforcement program called "Operation Granite Hammer." Hassan's signature comes soon after the House passed the bill, a reversal of the chamber's position two weeks earlier. Officials say the program, already in operation in Manchester, has taken 25,000 doses of illegal drugs off the street.
