Best Part of your weekend

Without a doubt, the best part of my weekend was going into Boston for Comics Come Home XX at the TD Garden. Denis Leary, Jimmy Fallon, Lenny Clarke and Tony V were among the comedians on stage.The show was hysterically funny and for a great cause, 'The Cam Neely Foundation.'

Mass. prosecutors asking to keep suspect locked up
Massachusetts prosecutors are looking to keep a multi-state rape suspect behind bars until his trial, citing past actions including cutting off an electronic monitoring device and fleeing the state. Massachusetts has charged Gregory Lewis in the rape of a 13-year-old girl. Lewis is also suspected of robbing and raping female escorts in Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, Oregon, North Carolina and Utah.

November is carbon monoxide awareness month
New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan has signed a proclamation declaring November as Carbon Monoxide Awareness month in the state. State Fire Marshal William Degnan and New Hampshire Association of Fire Chiefs' president David Parenti want to warn residents about the dangers of carbon monoxide levels in homes.Degnan says carbon monoxide is produced whenever any fuel such as gas, oil, kerosene, wood or charcoal is burned, and the potential for elevated levels exists during the winter. In New Hampshire this year, there have been four fatalities due to carbon monoxide exposure.

New treatment unit at state prison in Berlin
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections has set up a treatment center at the state prison in Berlin for inmates with mental health and substance abuse disorders. The Focus Unit tries to increase access to and retention in treatment, decrease the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs and foster positive family relationships.The curriculum emphasizes building motivational strategies, alcohol/drug refusal skills, relationship repair, communication skills, anger management, problem solving, long-term abstinence and recovery skills. It is structured to give inmates additional responsibilities that will require them to adhere to the security rules of the institution.
