Eurozone taking up Greek bailout deal
The Greek bailout agreement tops the agenda of today's meeting of eurozone finance ministers in Brussels. Now that Greece's parliament has approved the austerity-laden deal, the ministers must give their stamp of approval. The deal will also need approval from the parliaments of several other countries, including that of Greece's harshest critic, Germany.

Report: Son had threatened to kill self before, shot mother
Attorney General Joseph Foster says a man who fatally shot his mother, then himself, had threatened to kill himself before and had struggled with alcohol and prescription drug addiction. Authorities said 35-year-old John Trombly of Amherst, shot his mother, 69-year-old Elizabeth Trombly, multiple times before shooting himself on Sept. 14, 2014. The bodies were discovered in their home.

Portland police say three men have been arrested in connection with killing 
Police say Fred Akoa was discovered dead in his apartment on Tuesday. They arrested 23-year-old Abil Teshome, 36-year-old Mohamud Mohamed and 31-year-old Osman Sheikh and charged all three with murder on Thursday. The three men - who were in custody on unrelated charges - all from Portland.They are being held without bail pending an arraignment that is expected today or Monday.
