MWC Daily: Throwback Thursday with the Man in Black

A 'Throwback Thursday' with the man who would have been 83 years old today, Johnny Cash died on September 12, 2003.

I vividly remember seeing many Johnny Cash records at my house when I was growing up. I think my favorite song by him is "Sunday Morning Coming Down." I can clearly recall my mother singing along as she was in the kitchen making dinner! Another favorite Johnny Cash song of mine is "One Piece at a Time."

3 in US accused of trying to help IS
Federal authorities say two suspects accused of trying to join the Islamic State group had planned to travel to Syria and a third man was helping one of them. All three men now face charges of attempt and conspiracy to provide material support to a terrorist organization. Officials say one of the suspects, a 19-year-old from Kazakhstan, was arrested as he was about to board a flight to Istanbul, his stop before heading to Syria.

NH man buried in snow for hours
A Petersborough man is OK after he was buried by snow for more than three hours as he tried to clear his home's roof. Drew Mullins was using a snow rake to clear snow from the roof Sunday when it all came down. His wife found him and called 911 with crews digging Mullins out. He was treated at a hospital for exposure.

Former VT teacher sentenced in child porn case
A former St. Johnsbury teacher has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison on child pornography charges. Federal prosecutors say Jose Bruzual will also spend another five years on supervised release. The Caledonian Record reports police found more than 1,000 photos and videos on Bruzual's computers, some altered to feature the faces of area young girls.
