Historic flooding
Historic flooding throughout South Carolina may linger for days even after the rain stops. Thousands of residents are without electricity. The National Weather Service says Sunday was the wettest day in the history of Columbia, with nearly seven inches falling. Since Friday, more than 20 inches of rain has fallen in some parts of the city. The state has seen hundreds of rescues with many more expected today as teams go door-to-door.

Hillary Clinton makes a daylong campaign swing through New Hampshire, with the Democrat set to propose new gun control measures aimed at strengthening background checks for buyers. Clinton will also promote early childhood education at a town hall at Manchester Community College this morning.

Police charge driver with drugged driving
Police in Salem have charged a driver from Atkinson with drugged driving. An officer came across the man yesterday evening, passed out behind the wheel with heroin next to him. When the man came to, police say he tried to drive off -- instead hitting a parked car, a tree and a fire hydrant. He was not hurt in the crash.
