Davis plans return to work this week
The Kentucky county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples plans to return to work this week following a five-day stay in jail for contempt of court. Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has not said whether she'll stand in the way of five of her six deputy clerks who began issuing marriage licenses while Davis was behind bars. A sixth deputy clerk, Davis' son, still refuses to do so.

Police arrest 8 in drug investigation
Police have made 8 arrests in an ongoing drug investigation in Campton. Authorities say the sales involved heroin, marijuana and prescription drugs. The suspects are from Campton and New Hampton.

Vigil held in Nashua
With a candlelight vigil, family and friends yesterday evening honored a Nashua motorcyclist killed by an allegedly drunk driver last weekend. A fundraiser has also been set up to help Joey Mearls' family with the costs for his funeral. Romivel Cruz faces DWI charges in the Sunday evening accident.
