Candidates trade wins
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton traded wins with their chief rivals in nominating contests across three Western states. Trump and Clinton scored in last night's biggest prize of Arizona, while Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders won caucuses in Utah and Idaho. Republican Ted Cruz claimed the GOP caucuses in Utah. The candidates lashed out at each other, showcasing sharp contrasts in confronting Islamic extremism.

Forrester expected to announce bid for governor 
State Senator Jeanie Forrester is poised to become the fourth Republican candidate to enter the gubernatorial race. Forrester is expected to announce her bid next Wednesday in her hometown of Meredith. She hopes to succeed outgoing Democratic Governor Maggie Hassan, who's running for U.S. Senate.

Nursing home death ruled a homicide
The state attorney general's office says an 87-year-old man with severe Alzheimer's disease attacked an 82-year-old woman at their nursing home, leading to her death. Attorney General Joseph Foster says authorities responded to the Golden View Health Care Center last Wednesday, and the woman died later that day. Her manner of death was ruled a homicide.
