Cyprus president: Hijacking not terrorism
The president of Cyprus says the hijacking of an EgyptAir plane isn't connected to terrorism and a Cyprus government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, says the Egyptian man "seems (to be) in love." The plane hijacked in Egypt was forced to land in Cyprus where most passengers were eventually allowed to get off. Egypt's civil aviation minister says 4 crew members and 3 passengers remain on board.

Mass man sentenced in NH
A former Massachusetts businessman convicted of luring a woman to a hotel room under the guise of a job interview is headed to prison. Sixty-three-year-old Thomas Minichiello of Groveland, Massachusetts was sentenced Monday in Dover to up to seven years behind bars. He was found guilty in January of kidnapping with the purpose of committing assault, sexual assault and criminal threatening. Prosecutors say Minichiello used a phony name when he met the then-23-year-old victim and lied to her about owning a company.
