(Dover, NH) - Can you remember way back, before video or on-demand, when you had to wait for your favorite Christmas shows to be on TV?

When I was a kid, the big shows were the claymation specials and cartoons like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" or "Frosty the Snowman."

Even when my kids were young, these were the go-to specials. But by then, there were vcr's and you could buy these shows to watch whenever you wanted.

But now, it's overwhelming. I "spoke" to my Comcast remote last night and asked for Christmas specials. There are 101 choices listed!  Your would have to start in July to watch all of them before Christmas.

My children are grown, and now we have a different list of must-watch shows of the season.

You know, "Elf" and "Love Actually."

These will be watched a few times over the next week or two.

I got an early start and sat down and watched "The Grinch" this past weekend.
