(Concord,N.H.) - The New Hampshire Senate has approved the use of federal Medicaid money to buy private insurance for thousands of poor adults. The Senate voted 18-5 to pass the bill today. Supporters argued that the bill would benefit the state's economy and the health of it's residents. Opponents feared it would not protect the state enough when the federal money drops off. The state believes that 50,000 people  will enroll in the proposed program.
