One of the mainstay divisions of New Hampshire Motor Speedway will bring their biggest event of the year this September with the Musket 250.

The newly created Full Throttle Weekend is set for September. With over $180,000 on the line, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series will compete in the high stakes Musket 250, where the winner will take home a custom Revolutionary War-era musket and tricorn hat.

On top of that, the leader of each lap will bank a cool $100

According to a press release, “This will be an epic weekend for short track racers and fans from across the Northeast, so we knew we had to give it some New England flare,” explained David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway. “We’ll have minutemen in victory lane with a customized musket, a tricorn hat and a big check for the winner of The Musket 250. You can’t get any more New England than that!”

The Full Throttle Fall Weekend will feature a unique NASCAR tripleheader. Headlined by the Musket 250 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, the Saturday of racing will also include a 125-lap championship points race for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East as well as a 100-lap NASCAR Pinty’s Series race.
