Nashua Fire Claims One Life

( Nashua, N.H. ) - One woman  has died and several others, including at least three children, have been taken to hospitals following a large fire at a three-unit apartment building in Nashua this morning.

The name of the woman  who died was not available, pending an autopsy. Firefighters say two people jumped from the second floor to escape the blaze. A second-floor ceiling collapsed onto two firefighters who suffered back and leg injuries.

Tight security will be in place again for this years  Boston Marathon - the second since the deadly 2013 bombing at the finish line. As was the case last year, authorities say spectators are being asked not to bring backpacks, large bags or coolers. Any bags that are brought are subject to search.
