(Windham, NH) - A New Hampshire State Trooper working a construction detail on Interstate 93 in Windham Wednesday morning observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound.  The Trooper caught up with the vehicle several miles south of the exit 3 area.  He observed the vehicle weave around other vehicles as it traveled in both breakdown lanes at speeds in excess of 100 mph.  The Trooper clocked the vehicle at a top speed of 126 mph near the Massachusetts state line.  The Trooper was only behind the vehicle for a short distance prior to approaching the state line, but was able to identify the vehicle as a white 2013 Hyundai Sonata  bearing a NH registration.

Due to the commuter traffic and the existing weather conditions, the brief pursuit was terminated.  The vehicle was identified as a rental vehicle and the renter was subsequently identified as 41 year old Frederick Dehner of Nashua.

Dehner was subsequently located at his residence in Nashua and admitted to incident.  When informed he was under arrest, Dehner attempted to flee on foot to no avail.  He was transported to the State Police – Troop B barracks in Bedford where he was charged with the following charges: Felony – Reckless Conduct; Reckless Driving; Disobeying an Officer and Resisting Arrest.
