The American Heart Association is looking for volunteers in New Hampshire and across the country to help with their 'Little Hats, Big Hearts' campaign.

If you knit or crotchet (I've tried many time over the years and failed every time), you can volunteer your time and talents.

The AHA in conjunction with The Children's Heart Foundation are celebrating American Heart Month (February) by knitting and crocheting red hats for babies born in February (please, not bows or buttons, as they can come off the hats and be dangerous for the little ones).

'Little Hats, Big Hearts,' supporters are knitting and crocheting red hats to be given out to thousands of babies during February to empower Moms to live heart healthy lives and to help their children do the same.

Below is the list of participating hospitals in New Hampshire:

  • Catholic Medical Center
  • Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital
  • Southern NH Medical Center
  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
  • Exeter Hospital
  • Lakes Region General Hospital
  • Littleton Regional Healthcare
  • Memorial Hospital
  • Parkland Medical Center
  • Wentworth-Douglass Hospital
