New Hampshire Mourns Death Of Firefighter

(New Hampton, NH) - The Town of New Hampton has announced the line-of-duty death of Firefighter/A-EMT Douglas Clement.

Firefighter Clement was on call for the New Hampton Fire Department after returning from rescue training Monday evening June 13th. The fire department was called to his residence at 5:24 a.m. Tuesday for a medical emergency. Firefighter Clement was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday morning at Concord Hospital and the NH Medical Examiner’s Office has released the cause of death as accidental due to a heart attack.

Firefighter Clement was a member of the New Hampton Fire Department since 1997 and leaves behind four children.
