( Brentwood, N.H. ) – A Newton woman was sentenced to 10  - 20 years in prison today for injuring her child in what prosecutors called a tug-of-war with her boyfriend.

35 year old Christine Tumulty and her boyfriend, Allen Rockwood, engaged in a tug-of-war with their 1-month-old daughter in 2013. After the infant was taken to a hospital with multiple fractures, she was removed from the home.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is planning a two-day swing through New Hampshire next month. The potential republican presidential contender will be making the trip on April 14-15. A spokeswoman for his political action committee says Christie is planning to meet with community leaders while he's in the state.

A Peabody, Massachusetts  man charged with killing his ex-wife was held without bail at his arraignment in a hospital room. A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of 46-year-old Joseph Buonanduci yesterday at Anna Jacques hospital in Newburyport. Buonanduci was injured in a car crash during his arrest.

A bridge linking Charlestown, N.H. with Springfield, Vermont, over the Connecticut river will be closed for several days this summer as the span gets its deck redone. Officials say the project on the Route 11 bridge also will require two months of work with one-lane traffic.

A Biddeford, Maine, man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for serving as the getaway driver during a 2013 robbery of a dollar store.  Court records show 26-year-old Walter Heathcote was the driver for Charles Reed III and Ryan Forrest, who robbed the Family Dollar Store in Biddeford at gunpoint in December 2013.
