On the heals of the Wheaties themed beer comes news of a beer inspired by... Pop-Tarts?

21st Amendement Brewery out of San Francisco is offering a Red Ale called Toaster Pasty. I know what you're thinking, couldn't it be about Toaster Strudels? No, because who gives two hops about Toaster Strudels?! No, the backstory is better than that.

It turns out 21st Amendment took over a space from Kellog that once produced Frosted Flakes and, yep, Pop-Tarts! It is in tribute to these roots that they present the new, albeit unofficial, Pop-Tart beer which is slated for an August 29th release. According to Beer Advocate, it's 7.6% ABV and will come in a 19.2 ounce can so you may not want to have two in the morning before work.

Unlike the Wheaties beer, which will be unavailable outside of Minnesota, Toaster Pastry India-Style Red Ale will be available in 24 states including NH, MA, ME, and VT. No word on whether a Frosted Flakes stout will follow. If it does, we'll do our best to have it available at the upcoming America On Tap in Manchester!
